Dawn Bishop
Dawn's love of performing was fostered in the rich musical environment of her childhood. Raised in a multi-generational family of harpists, she was immersed in the world of harp music and learned from her mother, Janice Bishop. Dawn began her professional journey as a premiere harpist for the Drake Hotel’s Afternoon Tea. She entertained world famous guests during her ten-year steady engagement on Chicago’s Magnificent Mile. While Dawn continues to thrive as a freelance musician, her musical soul is most fulfilled by collaborative creative endeavors with musicians and artists. Dawn is trained as a Suzuki teacher and has instructed at Benedictine University and the Sherwood Conservatory of Music, further enriching Chicago's musical community.
Outside of her musical pursuits, Dawn cherishes family time with her husband and three daughters, being active outdoors to reconnect with her rural upbringing, traveling to Ohio to work on the farm with her dad and Panama to perform with her mom, pursuing holistic health, and devouring chocolate.
